This Is a Gardening Show, Hosted by Zach Galifianakis, to Air on Netflix

Gardeners, get ready to laugh! Zach Galifianakis is getting his hands dirty with This Is a Gardening Show on Netflix. 

The show promises to deliver a joyful, entertaining take on the pastime as Galifianakis lends his classic wit and humor to conversations with both new and experienced gardeners.

“If I were to offer a remedy to the human condition, it would be a garden,” said Galifianakis in the trailer. “…or acid.” 

This Is a Gardening Show makes its debut on Netflix this Earth Day: April 22, 2026. The full run will include six 15-20 minute episodes.  

Learning alongside the audience, Galifianakis approaches gardening with curiosity and self-deprecation. The show will delight gardeners from all walks of life as they relate to the experiences and introspection of both the host and his guests. 

Zach Galifianakis is a well-known actor, comedian, and writer. He has received two Primetime Emmy Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and a Critics’ Choice Movie Award. Among his many roles, Galifianakis played Alan in The Hangover trilogy and also hosted Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis, in which he interviewed popular celebrities. 

Galifianakis currently owns a farm in North Carolina. “My farm is a place that I get to think clearly and pretend to know what I am doing. I love to learn about farming. I like to play with the earth and dirt,” he told Variety in a 2009 interview. 

This Is a Gardening Show is produced by RadicalMedia in association with Zach Galifianakis’s Billios Productions. It is directed by Brook Linder and produced by Chris Kim, while Frank Scherma, Jon Kamen, and Zach Galifianakis are credited as executive producers.
