One year ago, we finally planted the seed for the Daily Dirt. Since then, we’ve watched this new venture grow and flourish, thanks to our wonderful readers and supporters from across the country! 

As we reflect on this past year, we are amazed at how quickly time has passed and how quickly so many of you signed up for more information. We have shared more than 600 articles, sent more than 100 newsletters, and welcomed more than 78,000 readers to the website. Not only have gardeners logged on from across the country, but we have garnered interest abroad from countries including Ireland, Germany, and Japan. 

Clearly, a love of gardening knows no borders! And it is this love of gardening that we will continue to share as we look to the future. Your daily dose of fresh garden research, advice, news, and stories will be available each and every day, and sent to your inbox twice a week. 

What might be in store this year? Expect new columns and content as we work with our local community garden, and continue the saga of Kate’s garden plot. As we grow, you can also expect additional resources to support growers of all skill levels.
